Who's That Girl?

Hey, I'm Moneek Pines, the Owner and Lead Artist here at ARTrageous Brush & Flow.  I’m a wife and a proud momma of 3 boys, including a set of twins and a singleton.  I’ve been an artist forever.  I'm convinced that I was born with a paintbrush in my hand and that my first scribble was actually a paint splash, totally convinced. 

Growing up, there was no career that I wanted to pursue more than arts.  I just couldn't imagine myself doing anything else. I attended Moore College of Art & Design where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Sculpture.  I've always thought of myself as a professional artist, even before pursuing my education at Moore College of Art & Design. I always knew that art would be a part of my life - 

It All Started when...

My best friend, cousin, and I decided to try a painting class for our girl’s night out and it turned out to be nothing like we expected. Although we were completely disappointed, that experience sparked my inspiration. I have been painting all my life but it was something about the atmosphere and social setting that mesmerized me - I was in my zone. My best friend and cousin turned to me and said "Moneek, you should be doing this!"  and I agreed. 

I didn't have a plan yet...but my vision was crystal clear. That very night, I went home, ordered a ton of art supplies, and ARTrageous Brush & Flow was born!

I’ve realized that teaching art is where I find my comfort zone. Sharing my passion while connecting with people is very fulfilling and there is nothing else that I would rather do.

Hello to all! My name is Devon Allen, I am a college graduate and new mother to my daughter Ardys. I love being creative and making beautiful artworks. I studied in Graphic Designs and want to create my own coloring book line for my daughter. I enjoy making art with other people. It is the best feeling seeing others create art in their own hands. My favorite part about being on the crew at ARTrageous is seeing everyone having a painting to bring home and the experience of getting together with family and friends.

What’s up? I’m Masai, I’m currently in high school, I love shooting  J’s, taking photography, meeting new people, socializing, and holding great conversations.  I love assisting at events because it allows me to be me and do all the things I love. My favorite part about being on the crew at ARTrageous is snapping pictures of all the happy faces when the adults are finished with their painting!

Hey Guys, I’m Gia! I am currently a student at the Moore College of Art and Design and graduated from the creative and performing arts highschool, located downtown. After college I plan to fulfill my career in art therapy, as an art psychologist. Art is a beautiful thing. It allows people to express themselves in a unique manner as well as relieving the brain of some stress, and as an art instructor here at Artrageous, it’s my job to make sure you’re getting the best experience possible! My favorite part about being an Artrageous crew member, is the energy that comes out of getting everyone together and painting, and seeing the creative outcome of everyone’s masterpiece. Because I believe everyone's piece is a masterpiece by the end of it!
